The course is usually held on the second Saturday of each month. See the list of upcoming courses to the left for actual course dates. The course begins at 3:00pm and finishes at 6:00pm.
There is a suggested donation of $25. If you are experiencing financial hardship, please feel free to come; just pay what you can.
We cycle between brief instructional lectures, questions & answers, and brief periods of practicing the techniques. The overall experience is enjoyable and relaxing.
While the focus of the course is on meditating in a quiet place with your eyes closed, we will also discuss how to be more present throughout the day with your eyes open. By the end of the course you will feel confident in how to meditate on your own and have a plan in place for how often to practice, based on your own goals. You will know what to expect from your meditation sessions and have a sense of how to integrate the experience into your daily life.
There is no set course location at this time. One of the course participants usually offers to host in their living room. In any case, if you contact me about the course, I'll keep you posted once a location is arranged for the next course.
